While working at Hörgiin Höndii in Dariganga, the team of “Suvdan Sondor 9” discovered a more than 1000 years old “Stone Man”, which provides new information for science. Through Mend-Ooyo's efforts, one of these figures was identified, and so added to the historical and cultural fund of Dariganga.

A Song Arising From Contemplation

A Song Arising From Contemplation, a volume containing forty of the poems composed by Danzanravjaa, the Fifth Noyon Hutagt of the Gobi, has recently been published. In 2006, the English scholar and translator Simon Wickhamsmith compiled and translated a large collection of Danzanravjaa's poems, Perfect Qualities, which introduced Danzanravjaa and his work to an international audience, and now he has prepared and edited some of these, selected and introduced by G.Mend-Ooyo, for the new publication.

Mongolian Poetry in Spanish

A supplement to the fiftieth edition of the Madrid-based Spanish journal "Cuadernos del Matematica" contained poems by the Mongolian poet G.Mend-Ooyo. One of the leading poets writing in Spanish today, Justo Jorge Padrón, translated twenty of Mend-Ooyo's poems and wrote an essay about his work, and so introduced Mongolian poetry to the journal's readers.

300 POEMS: A New Anthology of World Poetry

300 Poems, an anthology of poetry written in many languages over the last 4000 years. has been compiled and edited by the poet G.Mend-Ooyo. In this way, for the first time, around three hundred years of poetic translation will reveal the unparalleled genius of world literature to Mongolian readers.

The programme “Suvdan Sondor”, initiated by the well-known Mongolian poet G. Mend-Ooyo, has in that respect a good reputation throughout Mongolia.
Within the framework of the “Suvdan Sondor” programme, a team of writers, journalists, composers, painters and scientists from many scientific fields travels the country to do research. Along these expeditions, they make new discoveries and gain new insights and ideas.

The rhythm of each morning of my life still moves to the beat of my lovely childhood. From the window of my home in the center of Ulaanbaatar, I grasp the pale light in the east. Just as I used to bring in the horses pastured on the wild steppe, I spend time recollecting in my mind many thoughts that have taken flight. The images of life, transected by the window, are a chiaroscuro.

Mother Earth exhibition

In this exhibition, G.Mend-Ooyo and the artist D.Battümör combine their work, and ask us to care for nature, our Mother Earth, through poetry and image. It has become a tradition that, every year works are exhibited from the collection of the Mongolian Academy of Culture and Poetry and thus year, apart from Mend-Ooyo's own pieces, there are also pieces, based upon Mend-Ooyo's poems, by the influential contemporary artist D.Battümör, in addition to some eighty of Mend-Ooyo's calligraphic manuscripts.

A new issue of GUNU came out

GUNU, an international magazine of culture, literature and poetry, is facing to the eighth years.  Besides introducing Mongolian literature and culture to the world, GUNU is making its own contribution, by bringing world literature and poetry to Mongolian readers.

G.Mend-Ooyo`s latest novel,

tells the story of the nineteenth century poet, educator and spiritual teacher, the Noton Hutagt Danzanravjaa (1803-1856), and of his realisation of, and how he expressed, the secret wisdom in the teaching and practise of the historical Buddha and his descendents.
also reveals how Danzanravjaa's life speaks to Mongol intellectual culture and the nomadic tradition of the Gobi area in which he lived, and how this tradition is an expression of the land and the environment in which he lived.

The novel "Gegeenten" awarded the "Golden Feather" annual award for Nobel of the Year, 2012.
