The First FORUM of Asian Countries Writers was held in Nur Sultan, Kazakstan. The President of Kazakstan Mr.Kassym Zhomart Tokayev opened the FORUM with a speech. 

This new forum featured representatives from about 40 asian countries convening to discuss the state of asian poetry. The well-known Mongolian writer Mend-Ooyo was one of the attendees and gave a lecture titled "Asian Poetry in World Literature". A total of 12 other prominent Asian writers gave lectures at the event including Qatar writer Moza Alinaiki, Korean poet Ko Un, Indian writer Amar Mitra, Kazak writer Oljas Suleimanov, Saud Arabian writer Yusuf Al-Muhaimeed.
